Ok Widescreen again :(

Basically i'm having problems, I know that when editing if you make it square pixels it adds the top and bottom to widescreen.

But I have to resize my video a bit everytime so that it's fits the sides of the screen which is a problem in its self because it takes AGES to render at the end, the other problem is is that the videos goes all pixely, I know it's sqaure pixel but it seems to be the only way to get the widescreen effect.

Any help is appreciated.

i've been having the same problem as well in premiere. is their any solution other than exporting with square pixels. why does this happen?

There are no SD television formats that use square pixels. You need to use the proper PAR (pixel aspect ratio) based upon the signaling system (NTSC or PAL) and standard or wide screen.

Define your source materials PAR, type of video standard you are editing for and the final output format and it will be easy to answer your question.
