I am in the process of purchasing a 35mm adapter with the Nikon mount. Now I am looking for Nikon lenses. Which ones should I be looking for, and what are the benefits to specific ones?

I've heard many good things about them, crisp, good focus, lots of them out there, and a lot of bang for the buck.

I use Canon fd mount for my A-1, and sometimes they are hard to come by and a little steep on the price for older lenses. I've always been a big Canon fan, but I'm about to give Nikon a chance, so that should say something.

Or not...:)

I think you will be pleased with Nikkors, and that seems to be the general consensus around here. Me, I keep thinking about that Zeiss glass...very, very attractive!

Coolness... I've been checkin' out Nikkors online. Also, what about the 50mm 70mm, etc. etc. I need some info on what each lens would do.

Check The Total Package

Check The Total Package

When you are considering digital still equipment, check the total package. All quality lenses are computer designed and machined. Nikor? Canon? Ziess? Leitz? There isn't that much difference in the same fovcal length for the same price. You arn't going to get a "BAD" lens. Canon is killing Nikon with professionals in the digital quality field with their superior chips and low noise cameras. Believe me, it took a lot for me to switch systems, selling years worth of Ninon gear to go for the Canons. It was worth it and I don't miss a thing about Nikon except their 24-120mm lens.
