Hi,

I was looking at B&H MKE 600 kit with Auray DUSM-1 Universal Shock Mount for Camera Shoes and Boompoles, Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series XLR M to Angled XLR F Microphone Cable for $329+tax.

Alto Music is selling a factory repack/refurbished kit on ebay without foam windhsield and regular shock mount and full warranty for $239.

Is it a good idea to buy refurbished when it comes to mics with sensitive parts? The saying goes that refurbs are supposed to be better since they
are retested before reselling but I have never bought refurbed mics.

Also, how was your experience with Alto especially if there was a problem with the device you purchased?

Thanks.

- Don't really know but FWIW, Alto Music* was originally a mom & pop store in the NYC burbs started in the late 60s or early 70s. I was acquainted with the original owner, Sid. I believe has son Harvey runs the business now, and has two or three brick & mortar stores.

* I think Alto Music and Alto Professional (PA speakers) are two different entities.
