If any of you still have the DVX XL2 dual rig shoot out, watch it, stand bak fro mthe screen alittle, and kinda focus past the images, so the two side by sides converge in to one and yo usee three. Bang, it turns into a 3-D movie..... kinda like the way thoes stupid MAgic eye things work.

Dont ask how i discovered this.

Re: OK this is gonna sound weird

i swear it works, especially if the images are really in sync

Re: OK this is gonna sound weird

It's much like why people see in three dimensions.

(except people who don't have use of both their eyes.)

Re: OK this is gonna sound weird

basically...... i only found this out becausei was obsessed with magic eye when i was little, so i developed ahabit of meerging any two similarly shaped objects to get that weird faux-3D look.

in this case it was a real 3D look.

x2mag68 - You took too much of your medication again. ...Or you didn't take enough.

The magic eyes were cool. Imagine coming up with and idea that would make people just stand (or sit) and stare at an image, ...like idiots! Oh wait, ....photos, ...movies, ...tv, ...internet. Nevermind. ;D

Wow...you just reminded me to find out what happened to 3d television. I saw it in the 80's on some science show or rippleys or some ****. It was being developed by a university in California. Man I could not believe my eyes, there on my 14" black and white set wid da rabbit ears was broadcast video of a woman walking between some trees and it was 3d without glasses. At the time they said there were a few snyc problems to work out or something, but it was supposed to have been here a long time ago. Anyone else remember seeing this?

How about the first color TV? My Dad had one, it a piece of blue and green plastic you slapped on the front of the box during sports events like socker. Not a bat Idea till the camera tilts!

Anyone know where this xl2 footage might be found?

Love stuff like that. Used to take zillions and zillions of 3D pics with my Stereo Realist 35mm camera.

But I keep losing those polarized glasses, so I'm stuck looking at the slides with the hand viewer. :(
