OK FCP Brains

Here's one for you.
I shot with DVX 100A in 24p Advanced with squeeze on. I captured with pulldown removal and my sequence pre-set to Anamorphic. I checked the anamorphic box in my time line settings but when I pull the footage into the timeline I have to render it. Why do you suppose that is?

Apple-Zero the sequence you are using from the browser and see if indeed it is set to 23.98 fps.

Also, for grins, open the clip's item properties and see if FCP actually removed the pulldown. It's been known not to at times... free will and all.
