What adapter are you using?Yes, it moves the frame for me when it is left on (vibrates). I always turn it off.
the gate wiggles around and into frame.
OIS should basically be off wheneve the camera is not being hand held, regardless of adapter use. If you're going run'gun with a properly framed Brevis, I'd turn it on actually. You just need to make sure you're aligned and zoomed in properly so the camera does not detect the edges of the GG.
Cheers,
Dennis.
Best thing is to test first, and make sure all is OK as every camera/rig will behave differently, particularly at higher shutter speeds with the adapter. The classic question we get is that pans don't stop when they should as the OIS keeps wandering a bit and it looks like the imaging element frame is wandering. I only ever use OIS when the camera is being hand-held...it's always off for tripod work as it should be. We do use it with the adapter when doing hand-held shots with success...but again your mileage may vary
Remember that overscan may not appear on the LCD depending on your camera, but if the GG edges are seen by the camera, OIS will be a problem.
