OIS and Ultimate

just in case anyone else hasn't caught this yet, i've found it's best NOT to use the OIS function on the HVX with the letus ultimate. with movement, you'll get an image 'bounce.' (or it's only my units, which i doubt, but would love to hear from anyone who has found different). i don't get the effect without OIS off.

so of course you'd have it off for supported work, but it would be good to keep it in OFF mode for handheld as well.

anybody have a good explanation for why this occurs?

appears that's the case. i wasn't aware of it and wasn't sure the information was out there. apparently it is. good.

i'm still interested in knowing exactly what's occurring that's causing the wiggles.

i believe its because you have 2 focal planes, ie: you're focused on a non-moving static (other than the spin/vibrate) ground glass but then the image that is being projected on it is moving which confuses the OIS? This is my guess anyway.
