Oh no! Not you too, Roger Federer...

Looks like viral marketing has struck again. The acting in this one isn't even close to genuine. Please, make it stop.

I don't know. I think it's pretty good.

Well, to me whether its "good" or not isn't even the point. You think it's well done, I think it looks contrived and its okay we have a difference of opinion about the production of this thing. But that doesn't matter. It's the idea that they keep trying to pass these things off as genuine. It's very insidious. They think they are being clever but it's more insulting than anything. It's like a friend who pulls a prank on you to get a big laugh from the crowd at your expense. Sure, you can have a sense of humor about these things but after the umteenth time we've seen the joke, it stops being funny. It becomes more like, "how dumb do you think I am?" Imo, anyway...

Some of these "stunt" videos don't even appear to be promoting anything...

It's not Fed that I doubt in there. It's that nobody would stand there without flinching if there were actually a ball coming at his face. Twice.

(Yes, he would have had time.)

I agree with the flinching bit for sure. The set up seemed a bit contrived...with the guy purposefully playing with the metal water bottle. Then fumbling with it. And, the reaction of this "amazing stunt", witnessed not once but twice was underwhelming. I mean I would imagine more guffaws, applause, laughter, jumping up and down, amazement, etc. It just seemed too muted for me.

And stop lyin' to us! This viral stuff reminds me of the Urban Legends that were so popular a few years back. The first time I heard about the guy waiting in the back-seat of the car, I pooped myself. By the 10th time someone began a story with "This happened to my mom's friend's friend...." I wanted to punch the storyteller in the face. :undecided
