Hello Community.
I am working offline for the first time using FCP 7 pro res proxy for a documentary. I have not started editing the project as of yet, just transcoding and organizing all of the footage. When I begin editing offline with the pro res proxy footage, The question I have is what happens to the edited audio, either audio that was edited in the fcp timline or sent to soundtrack pro for editing, once you re-import the footage and transcode to pro res for final export do the edits stay put? This is a feature documentary so I'll be dealing with tons of footage and lots of audio edits. Thank you very much for any assistance!

Hello! A few questions before really delving into the workflow...

How was the audio recorded? Onto the same camera? Onto another recorder?
How many tracks of audio did you record?
Multiple mics during production?
Most importantly, was metadata added/retained during production/post production?
How will audio be married to the video?
Will post production editorial be done in soundtrack pro? Mixed in soundtrack pro?
