I am surprised, nobody speaks about this feature..

Is that HD-SDI imputs only? What is output? Functionality? What Sizes/framerates it supports?

Do you record on Oddisay, or you need another device??

Please enlight me little more

Dear Leteeci,

The Odyssey7Q contains a built in Quad Splitter and Four-Channel Live Switcher.

The inputs can be HD-SDI or HDMI (maximum of four inputs)

The program output can be HD-SDI or HDMI or both.

This is intended for HD as opposed to switching four ARRIRAW, or four FS700 2K Raw inputs.

The Quad Splitter and Four-Channel Switcher are both included as standard features on the Odyssey7Q.

To record four channels requires our Multi-Stream Recorder option which is an extra cost feature.

This allows up to four HD, up to 1080p30 video streams to be recorded simultaneously.

Thanks for the fast answer!!!

So, with upgrade, I can record four channels simunltanious ( as a backup ) and in the program output I can record program with another extern recorder..

What is the layout for the switcher? Touching the screen that should be active?

When shooting four channels..would be possible to fix errors later / to create the cut-list that could be edited later..something like Premiere multi-view mixing?

So..in other words.. I am mixing on set and then I see that I had error ( somebody ruin the shot ) and I am fixing that later ( on odyssay ) and play ilive again and record the fixed series of shots to extern device??

It would be superb solution for smaller production..

I would use CD Nano for DVD / Blueray encoding recorder.. If I see the error, I could fix it fast and than replace bad shot with fixed one on external recorder..

one more question.. when not recording four channels for backup..is it possible to record mixed-programm output on Odyssay itself??

Many thanks!!
