Odyssey 7 & 7Q

Still don't understand the difference between the Odyssey 7 and 7Q.
I don't care about the quad thing. I wont ever need that.


If I have the 7, can I also record or is that just the 7Q?
If I have the new BMC or any camera that cant shoot slow-mo, can I record higher frame rates if say using the FS700 codec or something that allows you to shoot more fps? -- If I can, then I'm SO interested in the recording feature!

They can both record, and no you can't record high frame rates if the camera doesn't support it.

Wonder what the options are for using the Od7 in direct sunlight? The lens hood option on their site doesn't lend too much confidence. Is this just too large a screen for a loupe (like the DP4)?

If I understand it correctly the 7 can record Full HD, the 7Q can recorde quad streams Full HD or 4K and fast frame rates...
