Odd Snyc issue

Ok I am baffled to say the least.

I am shooting on my dvx 100a music videos. So my audio is being taken from a cd and laid into my computer.

I am then taking my video with audio as a reference track to sync it with the auidio off the cd.

I did a test a few months ago and had no problems. I even shot a friend of mine lyp sycning to a song on my dvx 100a in 24p standard mode and with a sony mini dv trv 38. All three matched up perfectly (the dvx100a, the sony trv 38 and the audio cd).

Recently when I did my latest music video the audio went out of sync. So I did another test and these are my strange results:

now what appears to be happening is the cd audio is 10 frames shorter than the dvx and the sony reference audio tracks. The two audio reference tracks from the video cameras that accompany the picture are sunk up perfectly together. It is just my main audio cd that is coming in 10 frames too short.

So What happend? I don't know.

I tried three different ways of doing this and it yeilded me the same 10 frames short results:

I brought the track straight in off the cd. This makes the track 44.1k 16bit stereo and requires a render in my final cut pro. This is how I originally did it on my first test and it seemed to work fine. But now it is 10 frames short.

I did another test where I took it thourgh quicktime and converted it to a 48k 16bit stereo that was 10 frames short as well. Finally tried to take the cd through itunes and converting it again to 48k 16bit stereo...once again 10 frames short from the audio in the dvx100a and the sony trv 38.

All three of these cd audio tracks come up 10 frames short. It isn't like there is an exact ten frame shift either. This is a gradual shift which makes syncing a NIGHTMARE!!!!!

I have to figure out what has changed.

The only thing I can think of that is different is that I upgraded to final cut pro 4.5 hd from final cut pro 3???????????????

Please someone save me!!!!!!!!!!!!
