Odd question, i know - dimensions of the DVX front?

Hi there.

I know this is an odd question so please let me explain why I'm asking it.

I don't own a DVX100 myself but I'll rent one for our shooting in two weeks. Now, we want to shoot the skyline of Hamburg from the top of a curch. Of course there are many bars surrounding the platform since it's very windy up there. To get our DVX a good view on Hamburg we'll have to move the lens between a pair of bars. But HOW wide is the DVX' front (the lens resp.)? We don't use any converters or a matte-box. 10cm/4in? Wider? Smaller?

72 mm lense size -- allow 80mm to stick the lense in between something a little. just take the front factory lense shade off and it will allow you a little more room

You don't realy have to go through the bars, When the lens shade is close to the bars/ gap, There is no problem shooting through a 5 Cm or even less gap.
