Ocean's Thirteen

I enjoy the first film very much (nothing compared to the original though). The cast was great in the first film, but 12 sucked big time. that said, i'm lookin' forward to 13. hopefully it's the last though.....

pacino added to the cast.... hooah! he's done some bad films lately, but he looks alright in this one. i know what everyone's going to say before i post this, but what are your thoughts on this?

I actually loved Ocean's Eleven. Every frame of that movie just oozes "cool." Ocean's Twelve was a big disappointment and when I heard about Ocean's Thirteen I just thought "Why are you torturing me like this?" But after I saw the trailer it felt a lot more like Ocean's Eleven to me, so I'll give it a chance.

Pacino is my all time favorite actor.

I even think he's even better than Deniro. I know, I know, blasphemy.

Still, I'll see it for him.

My thoughts exactly. Ocean's Eleven was very good in my opinion. When I heard Ocean's 12 was coming out, I became very excited. But after seeing it, it pretty much sucked. But yeah, 13 looks like it could make up for 12.

I will likely see this movie on DVD or on Demand. After Ocean 12 I am just not going to pay theatre prices to see something that might just suck as bad as that did. Ocean 11 was a really good film, one that you can watch several times and not really get bored of.

Milk it baby. Milk it real good.

Anyway, it's a great concept and worth checking out. On netflix of course, lol. (I can just feel the studio execs cringing and it makes me smile)

No, not blasphemy, truth!

Pacino=Greatest actor alive.

On top of that, he definatly is better than deniro, deniro just got more jobs. But, Ill have to give it to deniro, he fits in better in comedys than pacino.

The trailer definitely has a the more "cool/fun" vibe like 11 did.

Why would that make studio execs cringe? DVD sales and rentals brings home the bacon. Theatrical has been sliding towards a monetary black hole for years.

saw 13. not bad. fun film. there's a flashback at the beginning, and i almost walked out of the theater (cause that's really what i hated about 12). but i gave it a chance, and i'm glad i did. it was enjoyable.

I agree. It was fun and more with the Ocean spirit than 12 was. Not a slick or funny as Ocean's Eleven, but definitely worth your time.

I actually liked this the least of the three films. 12 wasn't great by any means, but it had some moments and some interesting new characters. This one felt almost tedious at times, the one liners weren't as sharp, and the lack of a strong love interest was sorely felt.

i don't consider myself a film critic, but

I liked both 11 and 12 more than 13. Pacino is good, but it's far from one of his best or most challenging roles. 13 was enjoyable, but only Ellen Barkin, who was more comic relief than a real love interest, and what I think is a weaker plot, just didn't equal the earlier flix. Don't get me wrong, I like Ellen Barkin, but her role was more of an antagonist than a protagonist. Matt Damon had a slightly biggger role, and I think he did it justice.

Twelve was a joke storywise. Those movies easy to watch tho, so I'll put it on in the background while Im doing chores or something.

My main gripe was using a character who looked like a famous actress. That was the biggest cop out.

I hated it. The one-liners were cheesy, the first hour was boring and the guys had pretty much no adversity. Almost everything worked out perfectly for them. There were many other problems, but this just sucked.

Thanks for saving me two hours, Tim.

You can get all the information you need from this "teaser" scene officially released on youtube:

it doesn't even sound like dialogue at this point. It sounds like the actors trying to work out what the hell is going on in the story. Even they're confused!

I really liked it. I dig the hell out of Soderbergs style and it suits all the oceans movies perfectly. Some of the cinematography in this was fantastic. I know what you mean how everything works out too perfectly...but its still enjoyable to watch. I wouldnt want anything not to go perfectly for Clooney and company...they are just too cool not to root for.

And Pacino is perfect. Its worth going just to watch him.

Good movie...I like it as much as 11.
