I just finished up another year in college and another film for school and now I'm sitting at home (probably for the last summer) with nothing to do and a HVX which is sitting around getting almost no use. Since I am still in school my intent this summer is not to make money, but instead get additional experience working for somebody who already has a project in mind, but no funds to rent a nice camcorder.
I've been making short films and news clips since highschool, so almost 6 years now. It started with skateboarding films, then moved into school TV. I was editor-in-chief of FPTV, Fordham Prep Television for Junior and Senior year. Currently I am a Media and Society Major at Hobart College in upstate NY.
So far every project that I have worked on, I have also edited as well, previously with Premier but now I work with Avid. Although I can cut well, I do not have the funds for Avid HD software, I am also still shooting in SD with the HVX because the P2/New editing software needed for an HD project is still out of reach. So if you want to rent and/or out source that I would be glad to help as well.
Just put me to work on something! I will be available for most of the summer.
