NYC Covid ER Dr Commits Suicide

As far as living in the woods.....I am pretty lucky to be living in Alaska. We have had about 390 cases
statewide and less than 30 in my town. The only way to get to my town is by boat or plane. The state
has also implemented a mandatory 14 day quarantine for anyone coming into the state. For once our
isolation is working in our favor. My parents live totally off the grid. They are 45 minutes by boat
away from the closest town....and that is a town of about 90 people on an island....which is where
I grew up as a kid. I can only contact them via email or Skype as they have satellite internet.
I talked to them a couple days ago and told them to just stay where they were.....they are about as
safe as you can get. It's a great place if you like the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. Not
so great if you are into city life and things like art shows, museums, wine tastings, restaurants and so on.
Of course it's also pretty good if you want to just about guarantee that you won't be exposed to
the virus.

Dude- always wondered if you were isolated, didn't know you were in a sea/air access situation. If you enjoy your isolation normally, you must be enjoying it even more now with the protection!

Post-pandemic, we should swap homes for 3 months sometime (don't give me Alaskan winter and I won't give you Miami summer!), see how the opposite corners of the country live! Did a shoot up there back in '90 on Susan Butcher...
