NTSC to PAL

I shot a film on DVX100a, with the camera set to advanced 24p mode. I need to find software that will convert the footage to PAL with as little loss as possible. Can someone recommend a program for this??

Also, another question I have is, if I capture my advanced footage at 29.98 frames into FCP, and it is advanced 24pa footage, can I later get it to be a true 23.98 product, for output to film and for 24 frame DVD?? Even though I have captured it into FCP as 29.98?

1) Standards Converter... http://www.nattress.com -- works VERY well.

2) Yes -- You'll select the clip and I think it's under Tools -- Remove Advanced Pulldown. It's under one of the menus.

For 23.98fps footage, the best looking conversion comes from using Cinema Tools to "conform" the footage from 23.98fps to 25fps, and then take it into a PAL timeline, and stretch the image to fill the screen.

Forgot to mention that the footage is on a PC with Premiere Pro, and I need a solution that works with that set-up.

There must be something on the PC side, in Premiere or whatever, that will do the speeding up of 23.98fps to 25fps. Once you've found that tool, or control, you're sorted. That method I outlined will work great for you.
