Hi All,
I recently shot a music video with my Canon XHA1 in HD using Canon's "24f" format. The format was NTSC. The raw footage was sent to Europe, which of course is PAL, and there have been some issues with the playback of the footage even after the conversion was made from NTSC to PAL. The editor mentioned that there were some problems with interlacing after looking at the .avi files of the footage. He said that the footage looked blurry when it was paused in places, and there were double and treble outlines of the images in some places. I always shoot the same format with the same camera, but I do everything, including editing in NTSC so I'm guessing the interlacing issue has something to do with the conversion from NTSC to PAL. Has anyone experienced similar problems, or does anyone know how to deal with it? Many thanks.
