NTSC & PAL workflow ??

Hi everyone,
I am working with a company that shoots and disputes both in US (NTSC) and most everybody else (PAL).

They have been unhappy with an NTSC workflow to PAL transfers so far. I had a workflow idea I thought I’d ask you guys about:

1) Shoot everything PAL (progressive with a DVX would be nice)
2) Cut in PAL
3) Use the Tools: conform 25 to 24 command in FCP (or use Cinema tools for the timing conversion)
4) Import the “new” NTSC in a 24p timeline, use motion tab to re-center (not crop) and render.

You guys see any problems here? We will be doing tons of footage so render time is a concern. Also I need to have others do the actual work, so easy is important too.

Thanks in Advance,
Steve

I've been using that way of converting PAL to NTSC more and more recently. The speed change is hardly noticable when you don't know the original and the picture quality is just better compared to the sometimes blurry and distorted motion of converted NTSC.
