NTG-3 vs MKH 416

Just came out from a recording session using both mics. I've never been a fan of Rode's NTG 1 and 2 so I never been very eager to try the 3rd but wow!

For my ears it simply kills the MKH off!!! About the same off-axis rejection but much more solid low end which gave me an immediate impression of a more present sound.

I really liked it!

I've only heard one comparison - found online. But I thought the 416 sounded much more natural than the Rode.
