I've seen a number of posts talking about the comparison between the two Rode microphones, NTG-1 and NTG-2. The answer seems to primarily be that the NTG-2 has a battery so that it can work without phantom power.
However, after looking at the spec sheets for both microphones I see that the impedances seem quite different. The NTG-1 is 50ohms and the NTG-2 is 250ohms (p48) and 350ohms (battery). If I want to use this with my Canon XHA1 which has an input impedance of 600ohms which one should I go for? Will one respond better or be noticeable louder than the other or will there really be no difference?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
