with an LCD, its a tad harder to focus than the viewfinder and the viewfinder is almost useless on a steadicam or flowpod.
So heres my two cents...

How about something we hook up from the camera to an eye-piece or visor hooked up to our head. Something like say, the borg.

I just got my flowpod and thought that would be a nice idea. Am I crazy? Im crazy

You can be both crazy AND have a good idea. It happens to me all the time... well, the crazy part, at least.

Its a "cool" idea, Only how do you plan to focus when using
a stabilizer ? You can't even touch the camera.

My expirience with the video goggles was a total lose of orientation with the sorrounding.

That would be pretty cool. I've thought along these lines before in relation to camera cranes.

What I think would be cool is to get a HUD similar to the type used in new military avionics. They use a lower power laser to literally scan the image directly onto the retina. What's great is that it gives you all the information you need, you can move your head, you can see past it and it doesn't have any glare like a monitor!

Too bad that would cost a lot more than the DVX :P

Do you mean something like that, it is from the first DVX100 review I saw while navigated in the CSC site, the guy look like he's got a custom remote viewfinder.

Focus assist. Put a wireless on the camera rods and have someone pull focus..Pookie Iam sure uses this unless its wide lens all the time.

Exactly John,, 85% focus puller, the rest wide angle.

The head mount system makes a Steadicam impossible to use, as you lose all orientation to your surroundings. If you don't fall over everything, or run into it, you'll be throwing up constantly.
Not a good look. ;)
