Now... THIS is a birthday present!

I'm sorry, but he just looks like a stalker. I can almost hear him asking her if she would like some candy.

Sometimes "The Look of Love" is a scary look.

Just realized something, Brandon is growing up, our little boy is growing up, sigh, we all are so proud, sniffle...

No, B-Diggity, do tell...

How I proposed...

How I proposed...

I met Chentelle last year, in early November. We immediately hit it off and became fast friends. Soon we went on our first date, which was a little spur of the moment, so I thought fast and decided to take her to Newport Beach, since she told me before that she had never seen the sunset on the beach :D So we walked around the pier and the beach, sharing great conversation and laughs. We found a bench and sat down to watch the sunset. She put her head on my shoulder, already really comfortable with me. So, last week we traveled together to Oregon, where her family lives, and I met the family and asked her father's blessing and permission to marry her. He strung me along a bit, but finally said YES! That was last Thursday, and we departed from Oregon back to LA on Friday.

Saturday morning I spoke at a small Christian film seminar in Ontario, CA. Then I took her to see her Grandpa who lives in Brea, he really appreciated that, as well as she did. Then I took her to Downtown Disney, and we ate an early dinner at Rainforest Cafe, which I had remembered she had wanted to go to, but hadn't had a chance to. She loved the atmosphere and the fun of the place! Then we drove out to Newport Beach. I was afraid it was going to rain, but it was just nice clouds... we walked around to special spots and reminisced about our first date there. Then I found our exact bench to sit in, and the sun was starting to dip down :) She laid her head on my shoulder and I put my arm around her. Then I said.... "Chentelle, I've known this for awhile, that I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you... that having been said" *gets off bench and kneels down on one knee* "Will you marry me?" She looked super happy and excited and after a beat said... "YES!" then I put the ring on her finger and she gave me a HUGE hug! Then we watched the sunset as an engaged couple :)

Ah.

You engaged a temp freelance photographer, on your first date.

Even *more* romantic because it's spontaneous.

You brought a cameraman on your first date.

That's what I was thinking.

Brandon do you have a reality tv show we don't know about, with a crew just constantly following you around?

i can speak from experience when i say your engagement sounds way more romantic than proposing at a waffle house parking lot with a wooden ring carved from a fallen tree branch.

wow congrats man... I remember when you said that you think things are "serious" with her a while back. I'm happy for you dude.

Damn man, I'm not a mush or anything but that's one of most romantic things that I've read in a long time. wtf, I can't believe I just admitted that!
