"November", shot on the DVX, just came out on video today

I was a PA on the film. Pretty sweet gig. It was only for three shooting days, but I what I took from that experience was astonishing.

Greg Harrison (Director) and Nancy Scheiber (DP) browsed these forums from time to time. I don't think they were members or anything though.

I saw the film in NY a while back. It's pretty damn good. It deserved the best cinematography award given to it in Sundance.

I might write up a review of it later on if it should tickle my fancy.

Everyone on this board should check it out.

Update: Pretty much everything I just posted was a complete and absolute fabrication. I never PA'd on the film. Hell, I haven't even seen the d@mn thing. I honestly don't know why I do these things. I need help.

So did this film use 35mil adapters? i would like to see some footage from a miniDV flick that beat out 35 and 16 flicks in the cinematography dept.

Bummer, it doesn't appear that they added much (or anything) in the realm of featurette/making-of, or behind-the-scenes footage, though there is a visual effects interview, though I don't remember anything obvious effects wise, maybe some subtle tricks?

No, it was a straight bare DVX100 (not even a 100A).

where can i buy it?

Best Buy.

The story was lame.

The DVX footage was good after the first quarter of the movie. The beginning was too dark. Lighting seemed to get better as the movie went on, so stick with it or fast forward if you just want to see good DVX footage.

As far as the extras go, it's just commentary and photo gallery. I'll repost about commentary after I watch it.

Not that this sounds exciting, but it sounds like it's a little more than voice over commentary, re:

"Interview Lew Baldwin Composer/Visual Effects "

please let us know if it's at all interesting, otherwise, I've already seen the film on the big screen. thx.

There were 3 copies at my local Blockbuster...all rented out. I just want to see what the DVX is capable of in that setting and how it looks. Grabs would be great from anyone who has it.
