Just curious - are there any novel writers on DVXuser? If so, what genre do you write in? Fiction or nonfiction? Do you have an agent? Published?

Novel Writers?

I have written a couple of novels. Fiction of course, hence the word NOVEL. the first one is a 'cyber-romance' story, written in the early 90's before most people even had email. The second one is an allegorical detective story which i also adapted into a screenplay. i do not have an agent and getting something published seemed so daunting that i ended up publishing them myself. the first one i actually manufactured my own books....by hand....in my diningroom. there are 300 of them out there somewhere on the planet and they ar all collectors items as far as i'm concerned. the second one i did with a Print-on-Demand company. If you order one on amazon and somebody sticks a disk in one end of a machine somewhere and a book comes out the other end. Obviously im not making any money on this - im a better writer than a marketing person. So that is why i switched to filmmaking. its so much easier to make a lot of money at it.
