When playing airsoft (indoor QCB) in a "hostage recovery" scenario, being the hostage does not mean your are safe and immune from rounds.

Don't even want to see my back. EDIT: I looked in the mirror at my chest and back this AM, I look like I have the plague

Of course it didn't help I took my shirt off and taunted both sides, calling their family's lineage into question. But I did end up "killing" 15 of them due to a weapons cache (3 pistols and a grenade) I had access to. I think at the end, both sides were shooting me. Hmm, can't understand why.

Acting, airsoft, and shooting people, a GOOD night.

LOL, God, I HURT!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but what's your kill ratio? Are you in the red or the black on the sheets?

//Oh, tip: Never play the hostage.

Way in the Black! 15 notches in one game. "Please don't shoot the hostage, I am the hostage........." bam,bam double tap to the chest with the pistol behind my back. BWAAA_HAA_HAA. No rule against me arming myself from the cache. I ran the gas and ammo out of 3 pistols, and the dang grenade misfired.

LOL, I am a sneaky and highly trained Assassin Squirrel.

Sweet wounds, sir!

The Budweiser is helping to relieve the pain of the external wounds and the internal wounds of having to use muscles not recently used.

But dammit, I made my point. LOL. Must decide to not make any more "points" in the near future. I don't think I could handle it.

I do have a point in talking about this. For combat trained actors, look in your own local area for airsofter's. Many of them are amazing in what they have and what they can bring to the table. I have my own "adopted" team (15 strong), completely trained for film in many different aspects. SWAT, Military, Merc,. These guys are a godsend, and I have spent many hours with them.

But they know I am not just going to pimp them out. I play with the team when possible, and train them to win. I am a member of the team. But you better be ready to put forth like I do. Show the team you ain't afraid of taking a little pain for the sport. And then, they will need to be trained on camera etiquette, framing, moving cinematically, etc.

Something to consider.

When we were kids we used to have dart fights in my friend's basement. There'd be like 6 of us in a crampt little space just flinging them at each other. The wounds looked kind of like these pictures. Shocked that no one bled out or lost an eyeball.

What is airsoft? Those are the orange tipped guns everyone always uses in thier videos right? They have small bullets or bb's in them?

Yes saharanturtle, they are designed for actually shooting 6mm plastic bb's, which is why all my props are disabled in one way or another. In many parts of the country, airsoft is a big sport/recreation. Think of it as a game of tag (expensive game of tag), but with everyone being a reenactor of a soldier or mercenary. It's like paintball without the mess.

And as you see, just buying airsofts for your film alone is not 100% safe, if they are not rendered "set-safe".

Hey, that's why I did it........ to be an object lesson for film-makers about safety and what COULD happen with airsofts if they are not rendered safe before shooting (the film that is).:Drogar-Happy(DBG):

Those pics are going into my lesson plans for my "Hands-On Weapons/Tactics Training for Actors and Film-makers"
