Note card outlining software

Any of you guys know of any freeware note card outlining software? I'm a note carder and am sick of packing around stacks of rubber banded cards.

Movie Outline 3 seems really nice, but the $199 price tag is downright outrageous.

Seems like there would be something floating around other there that meets the need of drawing up cards and moving them around in a visual manner. Any leads?

Thanks guys

I just downloaded it. Simple program in that it pretty much just does index cards or blocks. Click 'New Block' in the program to make an index card that you can move around, edt, etc. Appears to be free. Looks to be good at doing index cards ('blocks'); they can even be enlarged, moved, colors changed, exported to RTF file, font size changed.

This looks interesting-- pnotes

not exactly index cards, but desktop notes-- plain vanilla or skinnable to look rather cool.

I found that Microsoft has a free virtual desktop utility to create up to four virtual desktops for Windows. So a writer could for example dedicate a virtual desktop for pnotes and just use each note as an index card, move them around, etc. At least gets me thinking about installing that free virtual desktop utility from microsoft.
