Forgive me if this is the incorrect forum. This in regards to Ridley Scott's short film festival on Youtube (aka Your Film Festival). Everyone had to submit a 15 min film, no more than that, of any genre and format... by March 31st. My film clocked at 14:57. I went to submit it a couple hours just before the deadline and it told me "Error! Incorrect data input" or something to that effect. I double checked everything prior to submission, the online forms, agreements, etc. Everything was up to par.
Then I figured, hmm maybe I need to make it 15 min on the dot? So I just added a few more seconds of blackness in the credits to make it EXACTLY 15 min. Then when I went to upload it again, it not only gave me the same error, but it also read the file as "15:07" instead of "15:00". Which is rather strange because Final Cut interpreted it as 15 min exactly.
Either way, I said f*** it, there's millions of other film festivals. So I missed out on that one. Has anyone else had any similar issues submitting to his festival through youtube?
