Not exactly a prequel but..

If you're a huge fan of Shaun of the Dead, Simon Pegg's "Spaced" is on Netflix Play it Now and is nearly a prequel. Like most UK stuff it's only two short seasons. Check it out. :)

I've been watching it too. I'm nearly finished with the season, and I'm loving it. Simon Pegg + Nick Frost + Edgar Wright = brilliant!

I watched this quite a while ago, the series definitely made it up towards the top as far as favorite series goes. Definitely recommended.

Another fantastic but unknown gem. I love it!

Hulu.com has both seasons. Simon Pegg is masterfully clever as writer and actor and just about every episode has an homage or reference (some subtle, some not so much) to another movie or genre. I especially love how he writes in his unapologetic hatred for the Star Wars prequels.
