not again...

I really don't get this...The first one was dynamite when it first came out, the second set I haven't seen all. This to me is like Kubrick releasing Clocwork Orange over and over. Give it up george! Move on! It seems to me like it's all about the money now, rotating the flic in different formats, re releasing and re releasing. Was it only ever one story that boy had in his head? Eeeeeeaaaaash!

Lucas seriously needs to go in another direction; his whole legacy will be Star Wars and nothing else. Forget THX, forget American Grafitti (already forgotten). Can this guy do anything else?

could you imagine working on the same project for your entire career?

he needs to retire....or make porno.

Lucas is obviously out of good new ideas. I'm a big Star Wars fan but am actually getting sick of the whole saga.

As I've stated before....we may not always understand Lucas, as he works in mysterious ways, but we should all try to recognize that whatever he does is in our own best interest...the good of all mankind.

To turn these six movies into 3D is well worth while, as at some point, more than likely ALL movies will be 3D and this will insure that long after the master is gone, his movies will still be compatible with what viewers expect.

In reference to Jar Jar (not about 3d, but on the subject of Lucas's genius and the nature of The Force in general)....Carl Jung discovered a strange anomaly of the psyche...whenever we as humans judge another, we are judging a quality that is actually within ourselves. which is the only reason we are able to recognize that quality in the other human to begin with. Therefore, if one were to think Jar Jar annoying, it would be the result of in some way being annoying one's self. A very crude example, but should you have enough concern for your own human developement, you can carry it further in your own experiements exploring your own psyche. The results, if you do not have the fear to do this unflinching, will be startling....and humbling. But you must keep an eye out for subtle shades, as the metaphores between the character judged and your own qualities may not be apparent on the surface of things, but much like becoming a Jedi, the excercises require the most serious mind.

It is somewhat amusing to see such strong Lucas bashing, not just here, but everywhere. Throughout history and recorded in countless ancient and modern texts, you see the same theme repeating over and over....a messenger of a finer teaching comes and is blasted by all but the understanding few, then, long after the messenger has completed the mission, events occur that open the masses to the original message and it is seen for what it truly was to begin with.

Hidden all through the entire Star Wars saga (Official) are clues and guidposts to fullfilling our true potential as Human Beings and even beyond. It is a most serious work...far from the simple "childrens movies" as George himself often self depreciates. I mean, come on...do you really expect him to stand on a pedestal and openly declare..."I have given you one of the most important messages of all time.....ALL TIME! I have shown you, if you care to study, great detail in how to become a more fully functional Human Being. I have shown you the answers to many of the biggest questions ever to be asked, and many that our feeble minds would not even think to ask. You can waste the opportunity for advancement, squandering your precious time and energy judging petty detail in what on one level (and only one level of many more) is indeed, "just movies", or you can take the clues that have been given and turn the attention to our own flawed selves, and potentially save humanity from a great deal of unnecessary quagmire in a new dark ages" I think not....it would be Noah and the Ark times 1000 squared pi, and the subtle balance of what little of the message is able to be delivered under our present ignorant circumstance would only be destroyed.

Einstein discovered the laws of thermodynamics, one of which stated that for any given ammount of actual work achieved, far more waste of energy is incurred, and assuming that The Force is very much in tune with, and aware of this law, it would know that it's message would be greatly disapated, but felt is still so worth the collective while...it greenlit the Star Wars movies as made through George Lucas as a humble, precious gift to us all. I would really love to sneak up and suprise The Force as a group, and show that we were worthy of the time and energy effort that has been and is being put forth in our interest.

:)

I really don't know what I'm saying...now, please do not disturb me, I'm trying to put the finishing touches on my backyard replication of the Dagobah set.

I love George Lucas. Can't hate the guy. He may not have anymore new ideas but he was and still is the pioneer of the digital future we are today. I mean, he's the first movie that shot with 24p. am I right? He is a good businessman as well as a wonderful human being...
I dont mind the whole starwars returning but... maybe he should get ahead on other projects such as making one movie about the Old Republic or... i dunno, doing that tv series he said he would do - and I'm sure he would do them- but at least for us, the original classic being messed with over and over is tiring... seriously, he should spend the energy where it belongs.
but much respect to the man.

maybe he should have let Irvin Kershner direct character units and George focus on placement- because he has everything else to approve of. it wouldn't hurt to let another director fully focus on the development of the character.. man, it's no use why am i talking..?

George Lucas will continue making loot off Star Whores for years to come. I know he said Episode 3 is the last and I think that is BS too. There have already been so many continuity errors in the first two movies (Ep. 1 & 2) that he will probably make a prequel-prequel....something like Episode 0 then follow up later on with Epidoses 7, 8, and 9. To say this is the last Star Wars movie is a pretty bold statement being that it is the main cash cow. We'll see another one when money gets low. Same things happens all the time in the music industry. Ever heard of a *Farewell Tour*. Um let's see. Kiss have had about 3 or 4, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, and the list goes ON and ON. When they wake up a few years later and realize they squandered all their money.....what happens? Time to reunite the the band after 10 years for one more *FAREWELL* tour....make just enough money to get us by for another decade. I'm sure the same will happen to Lucas. We'll see another SW film. ~reservoir~

I've always wanted a Han Solo trilogy. Be a lot more interesting to take a break from jedi and focus on Han's mercenary storyline.

That would be cool. What is weird is that if Lucas made SW films on a *regular* basis until the day he died we would still never have seen the whole story. There are LITERALLY hundreds of SW books and comics and saga related stuff. My question is WHO THE HELL writes these stories?? Most people only know of SW 1-6. But there are whole saga's out there dedicated just to Boba Fett, Han Solo.....almost every character has their on spinoff story in print. The SW universe is too expansive. Oh and not too mention the ever progressing saga in all the video games. We'll never get to see it all on film sadly. ~reservoir~
