Sweet! John. Oil on Canvas? It almost has a very charcol look to it. When did you do it? who is it? is it you? Good work. See look at all of these talented people. Who knew?

Re: Not a WACOM Tablet

Thanks everyone.  I was feeling dorky and had to share

It is OIL on canvas board and not a portrait of me.  It was my second 'lesson' at the Robson Gallery (Lela Hartley) in San Diego.  It was an excericse using the values of black and white and ZERO Color allowed.

The first 80% of the painting was actually painted upside down; part of the lesson was to focus on shapes and light and dark and not to focus on what we assume we should be seeing but the perception of what we should be seeing.   The picture was a black and white magazine photo (she had a box and I had to pick something)

Tonight, I'll get a few more up.

I think its out of focus; it's a new Sony digital camera we got for X Mas. I love to paint but film is the passion. But painting is very satisfying.

Very cool! I'd love something like that in my house. Feel free to post more stuff.

No, the PAINTING is quite photographic.

Re: Not a WACOM Tablet

Thanks David!

I was hoping to get the actual grain of the canvas and brush strokes. I think that lends to the painting when you can actually see that. Th eyes trip my wife out; she says they 'follow' her. :D
