Norazza dvd duplicator question

just came into contact with a norazza dvd duplicator that has be stumped.

there is one regualr dvd player tray on top, and 3 dvd writers below. I fill all the trays... and to my surprise nothing happens.

the only button i can seem to find is the power switch...

ive been searching for a manual... but found nothing.

any ideas?


and fyi there is no usb or firewire connection. this is a stand alone unit.

I have a Noazza single disk recorder and was unimpressed with the single page 8.5x11 instruction sheet. I have had great success copying data CD, data DVD, audio CD, and homemade/corporate DVD media. It will not copy protected DVD media, as much as I hoped it would work for backing up my kids movies. I copied the instructions for this "Load and Go" system for you.

Operation: To make a duplicate CD or DVD:
1. Power up the Norazza duplicator by switching the power to the "ON" position
(The duplicator will initialize and become ready for use.)
2. Press the DVD-ROM Reader drive button, located above the Writer.
3. Load the original CD or DVD into the Reader tray.
4. Press the Reader drive button to retract the CD or DVD into the drive.
5. Press the DVD-R Writer drive button, located below the Reader.
6. Load a blank CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW into the Writer tray.
7. Press the Writer drive button to retract the CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW into the drive.
8. The duplication process will automatically begin. You will see the LED lights on both reader and writer drive flashing during the duplication process.
9. The duplicated disk will automatically eject when the session has completed.

Note: if the session is unsuccessful, the disk to be duplicated will automatically eject prior to the completion of the session. A failed duplication session may be the result of substandard media, or a scratched or pre recorded CD or DVD was loaded into the writer drive.
