Nook Simple Touch ebook reader

Picked one up yesterday at Barnes and Noble, $139+tax, really liking it so far. So damn light and thin. 7.5 ounces; I weighed a novel last night and it was 10 ounces. Read some of '15 Minute Movie Method' (writing a screenplay) this morning, so easy to hold and flip pages with one hand while sipping my dark roast coffee with my other hand. I did not care for the heavy weight of a tablet pc for this a few months ago. But this gizmo is thin and light, e-ink.

Can easily set default text size from small to huge, choice of a half dozen fonts, can change default margins, black on white or white on black.

Just a very light touch/tap is needed to turn pages or access the menu, making it easy to hold with one hand and touch a finger to the screen to turn the page.

Can read PDFs (as in screenplays) but not with text re-fit / zoom -- except that I read it can be rooted (it runs Android) so that ezpdfreader can be used to zoom and refit pdf-- now that could get interesting for storing and reading an occasional screenplay.

I have 14 days to return it, but so far, first day, really liking it. Instant download of books. Many free books. Can get books from local library without even going to the library. Can 'lend' many nook books digitally for 14 days to friends, etc.-- interesting. Easily connected to my home WEP wifi, and this morning to Caribou Coffee wifi (did not even need to sign on to wifi like with my laptop). 2 months battery life with wifi turned off, 2 weeks with wifi turned on (for shopping for new books); has USB charger (or AC) which I really like, use that with my android smartphone, to occasionally (every week or two?) charge via my PC or laptop.

For comparison, here is a photo showing the Nook Simple Touch on the left, Kindle on the right. Kindle wastes a lot of space with those keys.
