Hi Guys,

If I would resize a DV movie to match the safety zone, would I get a better result on TV?

Would I get a sharper image?

Thanks in advance,

If you are enlarging the frame ... the answer is no.

If you are reducing the frame you may create issues if you are broadcasting it. eg a black frame surround.

Why are you wanting to do this? ( Do you fully understand the "safe zones"?)

Well I know that this zone isnt reproduced on a TV about 10% of the whole picture.
I'm not enlarging the zone I'm resizing the movie on a black frame. So I'm making the movie smaller on a black frame 720x576 (DVD size). That way I'm able to see the whole picture but my question is : would it make it sharper?

Thanks in advance

Try it and you will see for yourself.

If you are reducing it down in size and having a black frame border...it may appear sharper (apparent sharpness) but it certainly does not gain any detail by doing so.
