Non-Aputure Batteries that work with Aputure LED's

I cant seem to find any other non-Aputure batteries that work with the HR672s LED panels. Also having issues with the new FineHD monitor.

I have Watson from B&H and Kastar from Amazon that don't work. Seems the Aputure versions are the only ones that do. I might give Wasabi Power a try but testing them and finding that they don't work will get expensive.

Has anyone found a Sony L Series battery that does work? I need at least four.

I have ALL Wasabi Power for 3rd party batteries. The NP770 and NP970 versions are working on my Aputure 528's and 672's.
I wonder what the deal is with those Watsons and Kastars... Do you mean that you charge them up, connect them to the light, and you get nothing? If so, that would indicate a physical connection issue.
Do you have more than one Aputure light? Does this happen on all of them if you do?

AND it's the same issue on your FineHD monitor??
Wow...I suppose that means there's also a chance that ALL of your batteries are defective. Will the Aputure batteries work on your FineHD monitor?

The Aputure batteries work on all other devices but Watson and Kastars don't get a good connection with Aputure products. Light flickers on and off like a bad connection. I'll order a couple Wasabi Power. Thanks

Aputure batteries work on the FineHD monitor. Weird right?

Yeah, can confirm Kastars don't work with my Aputure 672s either. They power the light but the slightest bump and they will flicker on and off. The connection is too loose. Have only been using the ones that came with the LED panels. my official Sony brand work fine too when i need more.

Worth mentioning that the Kastar brand batteries work fine with the smaller Aputure 198 LED. The fit is much more secure.

Good info folks! Thanks

I got 2 Wasabi Power batteries and yes! Both work perfectly on all Aputure products I have.

I am seeing the same behavior. I use Watson batteries and they do not make the right connection with the 672 lights but they do work with the small AL-H-198C on-camera light.

This seems like an Aputure issue, not a battery issue.

I have some Sony NP-QM91D batteries and they work on my 672's.[h=1][/h]
