non-anamorphic dvd to anamorphic?

Is there a good way to change my non-anamorphic dvd to anamorphic in FCP? The best solution I've found online was dvdrebuilder but I'd have to buy the program and I already have FCP. Also dvdrebuilder requires the video to be encoded using something like CCE, which I'd also have to buy. I'd love to avoid encoding and keep the quality 100% if possible.

The dvd is 2.35:1 that is letterboxed to 4:3. Normally on tvs you can just zoom to avoid this but on my 16:9 projector I don't have the option. So I'm stuck looking at 2.35:1 inside a 4:3 box. Is there a way to crop the black bars off, making a 16:9 image, then author to an anamorphic dvd without compression?

thanks for the help! I imagine the compression in FCP will be just as good as that of CCE and dvdrebuilder so I hope I can get it done this way without needing to buy other programs.

I am looking to keep it all DVD9 quality, is it possible to keep it DVD9 to DVD9 instead of compressing a DVD9 to DVD5? Id really appreciate any direction on a good way to get this done in FCP, thanks.
