Noisy Thumping Bass

Well, if there is such a thing, where's the evidence? How come there aren't loads of practical jokes involving this for instance?

In the spirit of off topic on this topic. In 2002 I quit all production and moved to Colorado. I needed a job and had no car so I walked to every business within a few blocks of my apartment. The McDonald's, gas station and store selling Apple computers did not call me back. The Mobile Electronics store did. Thus began my 11 month journey learning sales that has help me immensely since I started my own Production company. I sold hundreds of those systems. The loudest was tested at 149 dB. I hated unleashing that on the world but the louder the system the bigger the commission. When I was hired for a nearby Broadcast Encoding position with much better pay my boss let me purchase a system for myself at salesman prices before I left. I had 500 watts going to two 8" Subwoofers along with 8 other speakers in my Chevy Blazer. The sound was clean and could get very loud. Inside the car I could make it very uncomfortable. At that same level you could barely tell outside the car. I want to apologize for the noise pollution I created professionally but personally I designed my system for me, inside the car, not the public.

Without going into detail....Mythbusters is a TV show based on ratings. Really? David......that has disappointed me that you used them as a counterpoint.

Wouldn't they have gotten better ratings by depicting it confirmed?

Besides, there's lots of stuff that Tesla supposedly "proved" or invented that he didn't.

I do find it interesting that there is a lot of research going into sonic weapons. There is the LRAD for one.

Tesla's device was not a "radiator", but a platform you had to stand on. This in turn transmitted the frequency through direct contact. Mark Twain was himself a test subject according to all of my research into Tesla. The guy was a genius.

3 phase AC power, a fluidic brake, transmission of power through the air, radio, remote control.......... Supposedly a "death ray".....Figured the harmonic frequency of the earth, the list goes on and on.

Right On, Barry! Awesome link! If I was to have a "Hero"....the choice would be between Da Vinci or Tesla.

I have studied and actually tinkered with some of his inventions/designs......un-freaking-real stuff. Especially his harmonics research. I was able to get a big piece of metal ringing so loud, I had to shut it down. With a small battery powered actuator. Based off of some his research and notes I found.

So no one can convince me he wasn't onto some big stuff.

No one said he wasn't on to some big stuff. But he didn't do everything his legend says, and the brown note didn't work. 'Sall.

Hmmm..... I take that as a challenge. Must start experimenting. And stock up on Depends, just in case I find it.
