DVXes arent really a big fan of dark areas.

Ive shot some night shots and realised its pretty fuzzy around. Is there a setting in camera that I can tweak to reduce or possibly eliminate it?

Also, I would probably put this in the FCP forum, Is there a way I can reduce noise in post as well?

Thanks

What I do to reduce noise is lower the detail settings, as well as the chroma levels. Of course never use any gain, and keep your master ped levels moderate to low, but not too low. This usually helps out. As far as grain reduction goes, I believe somewhere on here I saw either a plugin or a seperate App someone was showing that supposedly reduced grain, but I am not sure if any plugins are available for FCP for such a purpouse. If all else fails, just experiment in camera until it looks good.

The guys who make noise ninja were considering making a version for video. That software is AMAZING. They totally should...

The "grain removal" tool in AE essentially serves as a noise removal tool as well, The Noise Ninja solution, if proven to be as effective as their other software, particularly with handling the input and output of different file sizes from high to no compression at a good cost would be outstanding.
Keep in mind though, that Adobe will likely continue to develop their noise and grain removal software at a faster rate, and the interoperability from one app to another with Adobe and other NLE apps simply can't be beat, the recent addition of noise removal capabilities within Photoshop CS2 lays the groundwork for what we might see in an upcoming edition of AE and/or Premier.
