Noise Cancelling Headphones?

I shot some interviews over the weekend which went really well. Im aware of why thanks to barrys book of the sound delay. I was wondering if using for example Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones would be a way to eliminate this problem. So I may focus on the audio and my levels.

I don't think the noise cancelling will work because of the time delay.

I've had very good results with an ER-6 from http://www.etymotic.com. I really like them.

I couldn't come up with the funds for the ER-4.
