No way to group clips on the timeline?

Not talking about linking, but rather four separate clips. Is there no way to "group" these clips with a "group" button? I know you can nest it into a sequence, but I'm not referring to that.

holding down command allows you to select multiple clips and move together
(but doesnt perm. group them)

Shane - are you referring to editing multiple angles? I don't mean that. I just simply mean, selecting a few random clips that I like the way they are arranged or overlapped, on the TIMELINE, and just hitting "group" so I can click on one of them, but move all 4 of them together to a different spot...

My understanding is multi-clip is just for editing multiple angles, like a multi-cam shoot?

filmguy your understanding of multi-clip is correct. I use it a lot for editing plays and concerts and such. As for grouping of clips I dont believe that there is anything for this. I too would like to see some sort of grouping feature. Especially if you could have many groups with names that you can change/type in.

New Sequence

New Sequence

Sequence ->Nest Items Puts the together put I don't know if you can un-Nest without using "Undos". I have a work around I do create a new sequence with the desired clips and move that sequence into the timeline. This make editing very easy if I want to change that section later in the editing process.
