"No video captured"

Hi! I'm a new user of Vegas and I have a problem...
Vegas recognices the device (my dvx) without any problem, I start capturing (I see the remaining hard disk space available decreasing) and when I finally stop the capture the program tells me that no video was captured...
I have tryed changing preferences etc but I still have the same problem. I also have captured with Premiere without any prob. What am I doing wrong? I use a Conceptronic Firewire port with Windows XP Pro.

Have you set up your preferences? Go to the capture utility (click media pool, then click on the little camera icon) Once there open options, and disk management. Choose which disk and folder to capture to. Then try capturing a short clip and see if it works. I'm not sure what it's doing, but this should work.

hi zab, just remove the flag from "capture-option-preferences-capture-minimum clip lenght" also if it's only one second
