No talking in reel???

Yo.

I was told today that it's bad form to use scenes where people are talking in a cinematography reel (i.e. their dialogue isn't heard over your music, you just see their mouths moving). Have any of you heard of this?

Would think it depends on the scene. If it's something where one might expect to be able to hear the voices (like a medium closeup), yes - I'd say that's bad form.
