No SD Project Presets - HELP!

Hi there.

Perhaps I'm missing something really obvious, but I can't seem to find any SD project presets when loading Premiere CS3 with the Matrox RT.X2

There are plenty of HD presets: 1440x1080i, 1440x1080p, etc.

I'm just shooting SD footage (DVX100b) for the moment, and I'd like to edit in SD mode as well.

Any advice you might have would be appreciated. Did I forget to load them from the Matrox software? I've looked through the user guide and haven't found anything. It just says "choose an SD Project Preset"

Try editing SD using standard Premiere presets (ie. without using the Matrox)

You might be pleasantly surprised.

Hi Shooter.

Thanks. I did have to use the Premiere presets for a job I edited over the weekend. They did work well.

That being said, Matrox RT.X2 should have presets for both HD and SD. I just can't figure out why they don't show when I start a new project.

Any thoughts?

Does anyone else out there have Matrox RT.X2 running with Premiere CS3? Can you check to see if you have presets under SD/NTSC/Standard?

I've sent an email to Matrox, but haven't heard anything back.

Why not customise whatever Matrox preset you have if you are desparate to use the Matrox card?

Can you reinstall the Matrox Driver?


I am no fan of Matrox and was pleased to rid myself of it (some time ago).

Thanks again. I re-installed Matrox and everything is working now.

Now on to my next dilemma: making sharp titles. But that's for another post.
