"No Regrets" premiere

I hope that this is the correct section to post this.

I heard that this movie was shot with 4 DVX's from another thread and tuned in to see it and was wondering if anyone else caught it. What were your thoughts on the way it looked? I, for one, thought it looked pretty good. To me the inside shots were the best. Pretty film-like. The outdoor (especially the car scenes) looked a little too hot and blown out at times to me. Just wanted to get other's comments.

I thought it looked okay. I wish they had avoided showing the exterior in the background for shots that were exposed for inside. Major blown hightlights.

The interiors were nice though. It seemed to me that they didn't attempt to get much of a "film look" though. It seemed rather bland compared to other DVX footage I have seen, especially on this site.

I know it is a drama, but still....

All in all, it looked good, but I could only watch 30 minutes of it because it was a horrible film. I tried to force myself to watch more, but couldn't do it.

Re: "No Regrets" premiere

I only made it through 30 minutes before my fourteen year old commandeered the remote and went to the cartoon channel. I did record it, though, and I'll watch the whole thing in the next day or so.

I was expecting more film-like look in the first few minutes, though it got somewhat more pleasing after the opening sequence moving into the credits over the flashback. I was also expecting it to be 16:9, but I guess lifetime is still broadcasting 4:3 primarily (exclusively?).

I have seen many better lit scenes in the posts on the site. I must admit I found that encouraging - they broadcast something that is within reach of the craft and experience of folks like you guys and girls (I'm just a wanna be with a nice camera).

The list of broadcast pieces produced using the DVX has been very encouraging as well.

I couldn't find anything that stated that they filmed this on a dvx. The people that made the film own a one of the largest commercial production companys in texas. I'd be suprised actually if they did it on the dvx as I'm sure they'ed have more than enough access to higher end equipment.

If you will look under "Latest DVX News/Articles" and "Movies shot with DVX100 or DVX100a" and look at the last post by Mark Ramey, he discusses it.
