No Premiere Pro for Me

Well my computer can't handle premiere pro :(

I got premiere 6.5 and the latest Vegas... suggestions?

I shot this short film in the 24pa with a 16:9 adapter.

I heard that you can't edit 24pa in premiere 6.5? that you have to use dv film maker?

I captured one scene... it looked okay.

But I dunno,
Any of you know any links that will help me with premiere 6.5 setting when capturing that is if it can be done.

Re: No Premiere Pro for Me

6.5 does NOT support 24p

get PPro 1.5
and shoot 24pA
or else you'll be right where u are........again

Re: No Premiere Pro for Me

hey woodson, i just did a whole project where i used dv film maker to turn the 2332 pulldown out of 24pa footage. it totaly works man.

the downsides are that you need to capture the footage onto your harddrive, then convert that footage using dvfilm maker. so you i will almost twice the amount of data on your drive...so if you dont have alot of space..you will need to clear some out, get a larger drive...or capture a bit then convert then delete the caputred stuff then convert then delete. depending on how much footage you have it may not be a big deal.

premiere 6.5 DOES do 24p, it just cant take the extra frames out of 24pa footage. so once you have converted all your footage just work in 6.5 in a 24 fps timeline...

hope that helps man...its totaly doable. i dont know any other solution then to use dv film maker. it aint so bad. it has a great batch processer so you just set it up and it will crunch on it.

peace

Also, remember that the DVX100A up-converts the 24PA footage to 30i in real time. Basically it records a standard 30i signal on the tape.

You can edit it in a standard 30i timeline (Premirer 6.5).
