No MPEG 2 Encoder

Ugh! I just got Vegas 8 and I can't render to an MPEG 2 (for a DVD). I was thinking, maybe it's because I need to install the DVD Architect as well, so I did that but nothing. I tried reinstalling Vegas 8 twice and restarting my computer, but MPEG 2 is not an option for rendering out. I even uninstalled my older versions of Sony and DVD Architect. Nothing. I'm so frustrated. Can someone please help?

P.S. Do I have to install the MainConcept MPEG 2 Encoder separately. That's kinda dumb. The website from Sony says that it comes with it.

Is it a demo? If so, MPEG-2 will be unavailable due to licensing restrictions.

If not, try deinstalling Vegas, deleting the setup file, then downloading it fresh from Sony. Maybe it got corrupted somehow.
