if you change your sequence settings to "no fields" is
this making your footage progressive?

whats the difference between doing that or adding a "deinterlace" filter?

im kinda stumped to the advantages/disadvantages of it all.

thanks!

What frame rate are you shooting at?

If it's 24pA, you can remove the pulldown when you capture, thus your footage being Progressive.

I think when you do the change in the sequence, it's all good.

A de-interlace filter is simply making the clip progressive, getting rid of the lines, but I think you lose some quality. That's why I only shoot 24pA.

thanks robbie.

most of the footage is shot 29.97 interlaced.

i was just trying to wrap my head around what exactly its doing when
you change the fields to 'none' and how that differs from a deinterlace filter
