no external video?

I can't get the video up on my monitor.

i have a panasonic H1390, and am running FCP 4.5.
I have trashed my prefs, which usually fixes it, but now nothing i do will bring up my video. i am plugging in via component cables from a DSR11, which is being fed via firewire (duh).

anyway, not the sexiest question in the world, but i am hoping i can find a geek out there to help me out.

i only mean geek in the kindest, most respectful way, as in, smarter than me.

view all frames was selected already, no dice. D'oh!

its gotta be software, since i can see the log and capture image on the monitor...

any other thoughts?
 
Ugh.
You might be seeing the log and capture in the monitor via something else.

Give me an idea how you've got this set up.

Computer - FW to camera/deck - RCA/BNC/SDI???- to the 1390??

It could be the camera not passing through the video out of the computer via fw to the monitor. Are you using the DVX as your deck?
