Holy sh!t am I tired! lol For me it was a 14 1/2 hr day in total by the time I got done putting the last piece of hardware away. wow, I'm wiped out and I only got to rest for 4 hrs after all that before I woke up for work. I feel like this guy: :cheesy: , drunk from exhaustion.

Anyway, everything went great for the most part. My shot list of 76 shots was cut down to like 2 shots due to time! lol j/k but it really was cut back a lot because we had to get out of a location as the owner had plans for the space.

Our very own Vitaly Bokser was my DP and he did a great job. Being new to the director and camera man aspect of things, I learned a lot from working with him and I look forward to working with him again someday.

Actress and actor were really good at their craft and the grips were awesome, especially since they've never been on a set before (the grips that is).

Screenplay was originally written by another one of our very own Future User (Will) but it took a huge turn as I wrote a totally different script two days before we shoot. EEK!

Anyway, when I get home tonight I'm going to start dumping all of it and begin editing tomorrow. I have a few more shots of the location to lock down which I can do on my own and hope to the footage that we captured will tell a good story.

Damn I'm tired.

coffee, welcome to the world of filmmaking, fun eh?! nice to hear you working with some fellow dvxuser's as well. I am lucky enough to have one (thats all I know of) live close to me so we have started working together a bit, always good for bouncing stuff off one another and learning!

definitely share that beautiful bean footage once you get a bit of it rendered...

yeah it's cool to have someone to work with like that, I agree....... Hey man, your avitar looks like a zombie movie in the making!

going to start another thread in a few minute with some behind the scenes pics.... I'm chopping them down to a reasonable size now.

Cool, I wish I had a script to work with...

My sister and a few of her friends really want to star in one of my films but I'm not a good writer...

I'd shoot almost any kind of movie right now.. well, I wouldn't shoot one of those stupid "romantic comedies" but I was thinking of making a film that makes fun of them (Hey, that wouldn't be a bad idea!)

Sorry for changing the subject but what's a good way of finding a good writer without paying a bunch of money?

Thank you,

God Bless,

Peace

I know the feeling dude.... Hey you know what! Do a search for CMessino (I think that's his DVX member name) without saying too much, he's a good writer and has been at it for a long time. Maybe he'd be willing to send you one of his old scripts...... Hey one man's garbage is another man's treasure!

Just an idea.

coffee, I will go look for the other thread now. cool! the avatar is my ode to all the zombiness here, I am not making a zombie movie though, it's a pic from "BOGO". is that what you just made (zombie movie?)

davie1987, make a zombie movie, everyone is doing it (um, except me) and they dont need much in the way of story. uh oh, here comes the hate mail...

lol, yeah not much of a story to most zombie flicks..... Nah, we we're shooting a different type of horror/thriller flick.
