No audio when rendering

Hi,

I shot my nephews high school graduation on my Canon camcorder. I then used Vegas Pro to add intro, edit scenes out, and add picture slide show at the end with music. It looks great for home movie and family. At least with 2 hour lesson I had using this software from a friend.

I was able to then use DVD Architect (no lesson so it took longer to learn this) and I have a beautiful DVD. My brother and his wife love it!

I now want to render it to Blue Ray but when I do I get no audio. Video looks awesome but without audio its not usable. What am I doing wrong?

I select

--Render As from File Menu
--"MainConcept MPEG-2" for Save as type
--"=Blue-ray 1920x1080-60i, 25 Mbps video stream" for template

You have to go to "Custom", then the Audio tab, then check "Include audio stream."

However, you might also try using Tools>Burn Disc>Blu-ray Disc.

I did try that it also but it worked for sample 2 minute render test. It did not work for full video rendering.

If I burn from Tools>Burn Disc>Blue-ray Disc, will I be able to use DVD Architect to create menus? I am trying it now just to see if I get sound.

No, it'll burn straight to disc.

For DVD Architect, render the audio as a separate AC-3 file; save it with the same file name and in the same folder with your video. DVD Architect will mate it up automatically when you bring the video in.

Sorry took me while to respond. It takes 15 hours to render. I got an error towards the very end with out of memory. Did the render again this time I did not check audio stream in custom. Rendered audio to AC3 Pro (first option). Brought it in DVD Architecture and create menus, background music, scenes, images, etc. And ran preview and it looks pretty good.

I am in process of burning ISO image and then burn to BD. I will burn to rewrite BD just in case. Take it home and see how it work. Will let you know tonight.

Thanks for your help. I have million other questions. Do you recommend any tutorial or books that I can order? I have plenty of videos to do for home and some professional quality stuff for local non-profit.

I have the same problem. When I try to select "Include audio stream" the box is grayed out. Why does this happen? Any blueray option I choose the box is always grayed out
